Halloween Apple Teeth

I will be honest with you, I am not the biggest fan of apples. However when combined with with peanut or almond butter its a different story! This idea came about as I used to work at my old Primary School. One day a child put marshmallows on their teeth and said ” miss I have a new set of purely whites” and just like that I thought they can be teeth!

These are not only a good Halloween snack, but also look good as a centre piece with a pumpkin and spiderwebs. I have to admit though, this recipe can be quite fiddly. Therefore its  key

a. You don’t use crunchy peanut or almond butter

b. You have a thicker slice of apple at the bottom not the top

c. You use small marshmallows and not big ones

As you can see from the picture below, mine are NOT perfect, but me and my Nephew had fun making them, and meant he ate apple and peanut butter after (which he doesn’t normally eat)

  • 2 red apples, quartered and core removed
  • 4 tbsp Peanut or Almond butter- Smooth
  • 1 packet (100g) Mini Marshmallows ( I got a mixed coloured bag and separated the white)

  1. Take an apple quarter and slice it length ways in half and then half again
  2. Spread each slice of apple on one side with the nut butter of your choosing
  3. Line 8 White mini-marshmallows up (as teeth) on top of the nut butter
  4. place another apple slice on top with nut butter side facing down to make an apple slice sandwich

Top Tip:

  • If not serving straight away, brush lemon juice over the apple teeth to prevent them turning brown
